About Sandra

Sandra Espinet, interior designer and lifelong traveler, represents the epitome of relaxed luxury and casual international style. Her clients are the beneficiaries of her extensive world travels, which produce finds of exquisitely wrought artisanal furniture, exotic rugs and textiles, dramatic artwork and indigenous accessories that are put to beautiful use in homes.

An accomplished interior designer and allied member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), Sandra received her Associate of Arts Degree in Interior Design from the New England School of Design in Boston. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Interior Design from the American College of Art in Atlanta and a Masters Degree in Production Design from the American Film Institute in Los Angeles. Her schooling and extensive travel have given Sandra a unique perspective in her design work, which has been published in numerous international magazines, including Architectural Digest Latin America, Cosmopolitan Magazine and Kitchens & Baths. She has appeared on several HGTV shows, including "Celebrity Holiday Homes" and on many Martha Stewart Living Radio segments. She was awarded the ASID's Best Designer award for homes over 3,000 square feet in 2011, and won California Home & Design's Readers Choice Designer of the Year Award in 2010.

Her first book, "The Well Traveled Home" (Gibbs-Smith, August 2013), reveals the soul of luxury homes blending fabulous objects culled from around the globe. Beautiful photography illustrates and showcases some of the inspirational and acclaimed interiors Sandy has created for clients over the past several years.

Sandra's creativity extends to product design, most recently seen in her new Tibetan rug line for Aga John, and her brand of design will continue to grow and expand with each coming year. Her casual, approachable style makes Sandra the perfect spokesperson for home products, because she is able to connect the fine line of luxury to a broad group of consumers. She has been an Asia ambassador and spokesperson for Anderson Wood Flooring for the past 2 years.

Sandra currently resides and works between Los Angeles, CA and in Los Cabos, Mexico, where she owns and operates her design firm S.E. Design Services.
